    These sneaker trees are ubiquitous. The problem is finding a way to photograph that produces, in the end, a photograph, rather than just a finger pointing at an oddity. You’ve done that (what a surprise). Long lens for flatness and the shoes in the gap of sky, bookended by buildings. Patience (to find the right traffic light cross arm) and a bit of backlight and another Joe’s NYC is good to go.

    Everything fits in so nicely here. Just like the hanging sneakers, all the urban details are adding the best ingredients for a great cityscape.
