ADMINISTRATIVE NOTE: In the next few days — or maybe a week or two — I’ll be moving this blog and my portfolio to a new domain, josephholmes.io (the blog should be at josephholmes.io/blog).
The old addresses — streetnine.com for the portfolio and streetnine.com/blog for joe’s nyc — will automatically forward you right to the new addresses, so you shouldn’t see any change even if you don’t use the new addresses.
But it’s possible that the vagaries of the Internet will mean that there are glitches.
If streetnine.com/blog doesn’t bring you here, try josephholmes.io/blog or even josephoholmes.com/blog . You might also empty your browser cache if you know how to do that. In any case, it’ll all be cleared up soon enough. Just come back a few days later.
This is gorgeous, stunning color!
What great yellows.
A change in direction. One gets there at one point in time. And you’re making quite a promise, here.
Fantastic, Joseph. It’s so sublime, the way the gradients of yellow combine with the veins in the petals and fade to black in varying degrees. I’m a huge fan: A 50-ish college professor who (like you) is being drawn back into photography after a long absence; I’m even using a Nikon D70 as my first digital SLR (sound familiar?).
Please “keep on keepin’ on” and thank you so very much for inspiring me to pursue a long dormant passion.
Best wishes,
Jeff
