This must be from about 1959 or so, probably taken by my father with his Leica M3 (my grandfather shot with a square-format Rollei). That’s me on the left at around age 5, my grandmother “Mamie” reading, and my sister Jody, who’s three years younger than me. My grandmother was an interesting woman — she had a college degree and a long career as a social worker in a women’s prison. By the time I was old enough to appreciate that, she had retired and I just knew her as my grandmother.
Love this!!
Hi Joe!
Great shot! This reminds me of a funny scene the other. I was reading a book to my little 2,5 years old in the park. Another mom came and told me that what I was doing was impressive… I think it is sad kids nowadays do have books. The digital era is great but books boost imagination.
Enjoy your time off.
Cheers,
Patrick
