I remember reading back in the 1960’s (maybe Life magazine?) that a film studio had figured out how to shoot empty Manhattan streets for, I think, a sci-fi movie. It included photos. They were eerie. The photo of the walkway from Grand Central across 42nd street evokes that same feeling for me. And things were very eerie and disorienting a year ago as we all began to ask how bad would this become and how would our lives change.

I wanted to swing across the river to do these shots, but was too afraid.
