This is very strong, yet full of subtelties. The little-detailed background seems to refer to the afterworld somehow, or at least a dreamy and restful state. The man in black, clearly detailed, very concrete and well anchored, is a tough reminder of what’s seems to be forbidden to see, or even of access. The whole thing without any other agressivity than the strong contrasts.

This is essentially right out of the camera. When I exposed for the Moma guard, the background became completely blown out.
