Hi Joe,
I’ve been a follower and fan of your work for quite a few years now, I’m from New York(state) and am of course a big fan
of NYC. The way you capture it is, in my opinion, unparallelled. Your pictures are the true essence of NYC.
Thanks for sharing your view of the greatest city in the world (although Tokyo is right up there).
Quick question: how the heck did you get that light exposure inside that stand!!!! Brilliant.
All the best-

Thanks, Tony! This exposure was simple — I took my exposure reading from the light inside the stand. As a result, the scene outside is technically overexposed, but it looks natural that way.

Gee, Joe, you kinda present a lot of colors there for your style, even if you did wash out a lot of them.
I love the shot and the interior/exterior contrast.

It’s a lot of different light sources — inside and out — and that throws all the rules out the window.

Love the half-and-half approach. And here, what we really get is a yin-yang affair !
Great photo this one! Love the contrast of light & dark!
