The first thing I thought of when I saw this was Ian McEwan’s book “Saturday.” It really has a similar feel to that book, and maybe I’m influenced by the original cover art too but this works better for me. At any rate, fantastic image. foreboding and so terraced London at the same time.

Massively evocative of 1940. I can almost hear the bombers coming over the horizon to do their dastardly worst. Superb image.

I love the one family that was so anal about water dripping down that the installed the extra special no-drip chimney
