did i ever love that series.
Has Mr. Picciani passed away or just closed his shop?
HUGO WAS MORE THAN HIS TOOLS, RADIOS, LATHES, REPAIR SHOP. WHEN YOU VISITED HIM BE PREPARED TO TALK ABOUT LIFE, PEOPLE, LOGIC, WOMEN, AND MORE. THE 7TH STREET IRREGULARS CAME AND WENT ALL DAY, A TESTAMENT TO HIS FRIENDSHIP. WHEN IT CAME TIME TO SELL THE BUILDING, HE HAD SO MUCH RADIO RELATED EQUIPMENT THAT HE DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH. I SUGGESTED GIVING WHATEVER HE COULD TO OUR RADIO CLUB, THE NEW JERSEY ANTIQUE RADIO CLUB, IN BELMAR, N.J. AND SO HE DID, ABOUT $28,000 WORTH OF ANTIQUE RADIOS, PARTS, ETC. A GENEROUS GUY INDEED. AND THANKS FOR THE BOOK OF PICTURES BY JOE HOLMES. I TREASURE IT.
