Now imagine working at Giverny, placing each and every water lily so that they fit the paintings. Yes, yes, fitting every detail of the paintings. Visiting the gardens at Giverny is penetrating Monet’s paintings. My favorite was the bamboo woods, but those ponds have such a dreamy quality it invades you, surrounds you emotionally. It’s an experience in itself.
Been looking at this one for awhile now and I do like this tranquil scene very much…
