It’s an amazing construction, one that calls for movement, creates expectation. But the man stands still, lost in his thoughts. I like that one, but not instantly. Had to let it flow to me, get in the man’s mood.
Your choice of leaving the background out of focus, making it distant, and keeping the character well into focus, to freeze his movements : that’s what’s talking.

Great character study. Also, what Alain said about focus. The bokeh is just perfect and beautiful. Of course those of us who know your work expect nothing less.!
