looks like it’s from the north tower of the time warner building. Roof?

Even a slightly wet New York is beautiful!
Thanks for continually reminding me of it’s exceptional charm.

Just a second before the rain ?

  • PJ June 11, 2010, 8:46 am

Beautiful in every way, especially that river of red taillights.

I really love this, shots of color in the gray, a wonderful perspective of height that compliments the majestic quality of this city like no other.

  • Conrad Shull June 11, 2010, 5:56 pm

Like red berries on a bush. Wonderful

  • Conrad Shull June 11, 2010, 10:11 pm

Looking longer: berries on the bush and the forest of thick brown (bark) to the right. I don’t see a cityscape as much as an organic natural forest made up of urban elements.

Ahhhhhh, this is pure Manhattan!! Gorgeous melancholic view.

  • Valerie Lebedevas June 14, 2010, 2:24 am

This photograph is so clear, yet it captures the magic of dusk on a rainy day. Beautiful.

  • barbara June 14, 2010, 12:30 pm

I really love this one, Joe! It is just perfect!

  • Alain D June 14, 2010, 6:57 pm

Yes of course fascinating. Great light. Great intensity, too. Because of the deep shades. And the dramatic perspective.
I really like that old building, the one that stands out at the other end (the Sherry-Netherlet Hotel, actually, of 1927 – and no, I do not know that by heart).

  • fredrik June 16, 2010, 9:22 am
