Oh so nice. Love the little bits of color. Otherwise, looks like a sepia-tone. My dad always used to say there was a fire-breathing dragon that lived under the city.

When I was a teenager (I grew up in french, in a small village), I was listening to a Bowie album in which he spoke about smoking manholes. Did I ever wondered what he was talking about. That’s when I deciced to pick up the dicionnary and find out about english – and I’ve learned a great deal from my favotrite songs. And although that day I learned what smoking manholes were not ( :D ) it still took quite some time before I found what it was for real …
A truly satisfying image of the city. Wow.

Nice picture, by the way.
Here’s a little more on the steam that runs underground all over NYC.
what a great picture
Steamy! Love it.
Amazing! As usual.
Thank you Joe for the link. It is a great website, I already had it in my favorites.
Very cool. And it so captures an aspect of New York. Remember in Taxi Drsiver how he was always driving through the steam?
Hey ! It seems to be coming through the broken pavement !
