In 2019 I began a long-term project shooting portraits of artists who live in the Westbeth Artists Housing
in the West Village, a nonprofit, landmarked complex that provides subsidized living and studio space
for hundreds of artists. But as I was about to continue the project in spring 2020, the pandemic made it
unwise to meet and photograph subjects face to face.

Below are three of the initial portraits. All eleven are on my portfolio site.
